ReVenture: ThreeA's Atlas and P-Body revealed

I'm not sure how much cross over there is between toys fans and Portal fans but I personally really want this. Can't wait to see them fully painted with their Portal Guns. Here's hoping they do a GlaDos figure as well.

Looks like we aren't waiting until Comic Con on this bit of news: At the opening night for Ashley Wood and ThreeA Toys' ReVenture show in Hong Kong, the next ThreeA x Valve figures were revealed to be the previously teased P-Body alongside Atlas. The two bots from Portal 2 are looking very nice, even in their early prototype forms, and with the kind of love ThreeA seemed to give Metal Gear Rex, I can only imagine how nice they'll look when finished.
Stay tuned to Tomopop this weekend for the latest news from HK ReVenture, as well as for more details when we likely see these two again in San Diego this July!

ReVenture: Metal Gear RAY appears in prototype form

I never really like the Ray in the game since it was pretty ridiculous but in toy form I REALLY LIKE THE RAY.

It has been a really, really good week to be a Metal Gear Solid fan. First, Hot Toys shows off its new Naked Snake and The Boss figures, and now, ThreeA has dropped a bomb on everyone at ReVenture with the debut of the Metal Gear RAY prototype.
I mean ... I am at a loss for words right now. RAY looks to be even larger than Metal Gear Rex was and is just as chock full of detail. One of my friends pointed out there's a guy in the background looking at RAY who apparently has this shocked expression on his face, and that might as well be me, because this is going to be one impressive piece when it's all done.

After School Midnighters Trailer Features a Dancing, Fighting Visible Man

This is pretty wild, mildly NSFW.

Via Slash Film WTF: ‘After School Midnighters’ Trailer Features a Dancing, Fighting Visible Man:

There are a couple examples in manga and anime of the school teaching tool The Visible Man showing up as a character or personality. But I don’t think any of them feature the guy dancing, fleeing from half-skinned rabbits wielding machine guns, or jumping a dirt bike through the face of a giant clock.
But the trailer for a Japanese summer kids movie called After School Midnighters (Hokago middonaitâzu) does feature all that stuff, and as a result it is a must-see.
A couple more short teasers are embedded below. They are similarly awesome and crazy. The film is a feature expansion of Hitoshi Takekiyo‘s 2007 CG anime short After School Midnight.
The trailer’s YouTube page offers this info:
An original computer-generated animation film by a young and spirited director with a skillful VFX/CGI crew who have a lot of experience with movies and TV commercials. The main character, Kunstlijk, is a human-body model that stands in a science room of an elementary school. Kunstlijk also reigns over the school after midnight. One day, when a naughty kindergarten trio accidentally meet him, his ordinary life changes. The scariest and craziest after-midnight adventure begins…

Busted: Anpanman + Kewpie Doll = Ankew

Shop in Japan is busted for making up their own crossovers shirt. Read on...

Via Anpanman + Kewpie Doll = Ankew:

A news report shows us images of t-shirts sold in Osaka that used Anpanman and Kewpie characters without permission from trademark holders:

The creator of the shirt, who has been arrested for trademark violations, claims that the images are based on Anpanman but the character on the shirts is not Anpanman. He said it is a totally original character named “Ankew” (or “Ankyu” in Japanese).
