Be@rbrick S21: "Seemingly ages ago, Medicom kicked off the blind-box designer toy mini craze (yes, yes… LEGO, I know). As a measure of longevity and unqualified success, the Japanese toy brand dropped Be@rbrick S21 towards the end of last week. This series has something for about every flavor of pop culture fan...

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my chin! New images have surfaced since our first sneak peek of the 24th figure in Revoltech's science fiction themed Tokusatsu line. The figure is of the Iron Man Mark VI suit, donned by our favorite hard drinking super hero in the recent Iron Man 2 motion picture.
In the last article, readers drew a lot of comparisons to the 6" Walmart exclusive Iron Man Mark VI figure by Hasbro. One of the first impressions is that the paint job is way more vibrant and detailed. The Hasbro line has always been hurt by really murky color choices and poor paint detail. The accessories and articulation of the Revoltech really pushes it ahead of the pack. Hasbro pack-ins like blaster fire and missile launchers just don't really add to the figure. The Revoltech accessory pack looks like it comes with changeable hands, blast hand effects, and jet blast feet that double as a base.
Finally Tony Stark can look up and down! As you can see in the gallery, the articulation really lends itself to iconic poses and epic battle recreations. I have to agree with some of the reader comments that the proportion of the figure is a bit off, although in my opinion, the bulkier look gives it much more of an armor suit feeling. I'm looking forward to cuing up some Black Sabbath on the stereo and beginning the millionaire Marvel vs DC Revoltech battle: Iron Man vs Batman! What do you guys think of these new shots? Warming up your pre-order blaster trigger?

The Tokusatsu Revoltech line has turned out a lot of great figures as of late. With numbers 22 and 23 just put up for preorder, it's already time to tease what's coming down the line. The company took to UStream this evening, taking out some of their new stuff. The big reveal is that Iron Man in the movie Mk. VI armor is the latest superhero to get the Revoltech touch.
Personally, I'll be preordering the second this becomes available. Sadly, I'll have to stalk sites as there's no full release information available. As to what I'll do with it, perhaps he'll have drinks with Lupin, then beat the crap out of Batman.

Early Tron figures are making their way to Ebay, and word has it Olivia Wilde did not approve the licensing of her face, so her character Quorra comes with a permanent helmet. Read more about it here, did you know Christian Bale did the same for Terminator Salvation…?
