Someone is selling a Char Zaku II Scooter in Japan. Neat!

Look, someone had to make that joke. Actually, everyone who posts about this scooter, customized in the colors and appearance of the iconic Zaku-II mobile suit piloted by Char Aznable, the Red Comet, Hero of Zeon.

I'm actually quite impessed, not only because its maker managed to customize the scooter's headlight to resemble the head unit of a Zaku-II, but also matched Char's color scheme, which isn't actually as "red" as commonly thought. It's really more of a pink-and-maroon scheme, rather than a deeper, stop-light red. The "true" red Zaku-II was actually piloted by Johnny Ridden, a contemporary of Char, known as the Crhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifimson Lightning.

And it can now be yours for the low, low price of 112,000 yen (about $1,386). Sure, that price is three times the typical cost of a similar, unmodified model of scooter, but it's also three times as awesome. And maybe, just maybe, three times as fast.
